SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga Bulldogs delivered an emphatic 86-60 win against the Pepperdine Waves in a spirited CCF Classic game held at the Spokane Arena on January 4. The event was dedicated to supporting Community Cancer Fund, showcasing not only exceptional basketball but also a commitment to a significant cause.

Graham Ike spearheaded Gonzaga’s commanding performance, leading the team with an impressive 20 points and seven rebounds. Ike’s dominant presence in the paint, shooting an efficient 8-of-10 from the field, proved pivotal in the Bulldogs’ triumph over the Waves.

The offensive prowess of the Bulldogs extended beyond Ike’s stellar performance. Spokane’s own Anton Watson made a notable impact with 15 points, contributing significantly to Gonzaga’s scoring efforts. Nolan Hickman displayed remarkable accuracy from beyond the arc, going 4-for-5 on 3-pointers and finishing the game with a solid 14 points. Braden Huff, coming off the bench, provided essential support with 11 points, showcasing the team’s depth and versatility.

The game, held as part of the CCF Classic, was more than just a basketball match. It served as a platform to rally support for Community Cancer Fund, bringing together fans, players, and communities to raise awareness and funds for treatments, lodging, life-changing support services and critical every-day needs for those affected by cancer. The halftime presentation was highlighted by a donation of a $100,000 check to Providence.
