Today marks a meaningful milestone for Community Cancer Fund — one that represents years of dedication, collaboration, and compassion.
In 2019, we made a promise: to help ensure that families traveling to Spokane for their child’s cancer treatment would always have a warm, safe, and supportive place to stay. That promise took shape as a $3 million pledge to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest — an organization whose mission to keep families close deeply aligns with our own.
A Partnership Rooted in Compassion
Since that first commitment, Community Cancer Fund has worked alongside RMHC to expand its capacity, enhance family spaces, and bring comfort to those navigating the toughest moments of their lives. Together, we’ve helped families stay near their loved ones receiving care at local hospitals, providing stability when the world around them feels uncertain.
This partnership builds upon a longstanding relationship that stretches back years — from early collaborative projects to the construction of The Davidson Family Hospitality Center and countless nights of lodging provided to families in need.
Delivering on a Promise
This week, we proudly delivered the final installment of our $3 million pledge — officially completing the commitment we made years ago. The impact of that investment can be seen every day in the families who walk through the doors of the North House: parents resting after long days in the hospital, siblings sharing laughter in playrooms, and communities rallying behind them.
None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our donors, partners, and friends. Your generosity fuels our mission and turns commitments into real change.
Continuing the Journey
While this pledge may be complete, our partnership with RMHC is far from over. We’ll continue working together to serve families across the Inland Northwest — because the fight against cancer doesn’t end with a single check or milestone. It’s a journey of care, community, and compassion that we walk together.
