The Spokane Police Department is raising funds this November for Community Cancer Fund to raise awareness and fund local cancer prevention, research, and education programs. Participating officers will be growing a mustache, goatee, beard or just wearing a yellow ribbon on their uniform to support the local fight against cancer. In order to be excused from SPD’s uniform/appearance guidelines, an officer must make or fundraise a minimum donation of $50 to Community Cancer Fund.
